HWY 12

Seeing as its been several months since we have documented anything, I've been told to get on it.  Here we go!

Our trip from Zion was intended to go thru Bryce Canyon via Hwy. 12.  Unfortunately, we should have planned more time for this portion of the trip as the views would have been stellar along the way.

By the time we reached Bryce Canyon, it was raining heavily, so sadly, not much to see.  Thor's Hammer is around here somewhere.

We left Bryce and continued down the lonely highway looking for something to eat.  Eventually, after an eternity, we found THE place:

After Nemo's we kept pushing on as the daylight grew faint - we entered Escalante (or Mars?)...not much to see in the dark but it was truly weird.  Eventually we were in the fog, in the dark, on a winding road at high elevation with sheer drop offs. It was cool.

We made it to Hanksville...for reasons unknown...but got the cheap hotel...which was cheap.  The following morning we went to get the continental breakfast.  They were out of everything but Raisin Bran.  Yay Hanksville.

onward to Arches... (eventually)
