Chris and Gen-Con

Updated Pics...8-17

My friend from college always comes up to Indy for Gen-Con. Gen-Con is the largest gaming convention in the world, lasting 4 days at the convention center and area hotel conference rooms. He is always good about calling even when I haven't... We were both in the yearbook at ERAU and he has a lot to do with my interest in photography....namely after I would take an hour printing something out in the darkroom he (mr editor) would take a look and quickly say "do it again and fix this"...argh. He's a tall guy BTW.

Bryson came with us after church to see the convention. He was wowed by the cool stuff there. Chris often dresses up for such events. He had an Iron-Man style power thingie attached under his shirt... custom made in taiwan or something like that. He was stopped several times by gamers asking how and where they could get one. Earlier in the week he and his wife were ghostbusters (with unlicensed nuclear accelerator proton packs). He did manage to make it through security at the airport after the fake proton pack was discovered.
If you recognize Karen...she was a celebrity in ROLLERJAM...She is a personal trainer now and benches Volkswagens for fun.:-)

I have no idea what this girl was doing but she went all out with the blue angel vibe.

Chris surprised Bryson with a game from the convention. The game is called Carcassonne. With over 100 reviews at Amazon.com, over 80% are 5 star and most of the remainder are 4 star. We went to the Painter house for a quick game before Chris' flight. I have to say it was very cool, simple to get started but involved a lot of thinking...Thanks Chris!

Aaron was a little envious when he figured out where Bryson was headed. :)

Carcassonne is one of my favorite games. Gotta farm that land.
