Our first pinewood derby...

Bryson had his first Scout pinewood derby today. We didn't really spend a whole lotta time on the car. Bryson found himself a couple of ounces short this morning which was quickly solved by quarters and hot glue. I had no idea how much prep people put into these things. Some of the cars were insane. I can't imagine they were pure products of the scout...but thats pure speculation. Anyways we know next time to...de-burr the axles, lower the profile, expand the wheelbase, and all the other crazy things you can do. We showed fairly well though and the 5 hours spent at the meet only felt like 4 and a half.
