I decided to count the rings today on the ol' Maple. With a +/- 5.3% margin of error it looks like it sprouted around 1910...Thats pretty old! and it took the Painter's moving in to kill it :-)Actually our tree guy said that when the house was built in '79 little thought was given to the health of the trees. Half the root systems of all three big trees in the back yard were covered up during construction. It's just a matter of time for the other two, a cherry and a black walnut. Hopefully we have several years.
I am actually off to work today to Earn some money! Wish me luck.
